Messages you send us
When you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject, and message you enter. We use it to respond and handle your inquiry. We don't add contact-form senders to a newsletter list.
Signing up for recipes
If you join the BUI mailing list, we request your email address and send a confirmation message. You're added only after using its confirmation link. You can unsubscribe through the link provided in future newsletters. There is no fixed publication schedule.
Where your information is kept
Contact messages are delivered through our hosting provider's mail infrastructure. Our newsletter is managed through EmailOctopus, which processes subscriber email addresses, confirmation status, unsubscribe preferences, and email delivery and engagement data to operate the mailing list. You can read EmailOctopus's privacy information. Older newsletter records may remain with our website host temporarily while we move away from the previous signup system. We are working to keep them in restricted server-side storage. Basic rate-limit data may be used to reduce spam. Hosting providers may process technical connection logs as part of serving the website.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits, recipe-print actions, Amazon equipment-link clicks, and successful form submissions. In the United States, analytics cookies are enabled by default unless you opt out. Elsewhere, analytics cookies stay disabled until you allow them. Google Consent Mode may send limited cookieless measurement signals before consent in regions where cookies are disabled; these are not ordinary cookie-based visits. We do not use Google Analytics for personalized advertising, and we do not send contact messages, names, or email addresses to Analytics. A newsletter signup request is counted as a request, not a confirmed subscription. You can decline or withdraw permission at any time through the control below or Analytics settings in the footer. We keep your opt-out choice, stop loading the Google tag on future page views, and honor the Global Privacy Control signal in supported browsers. See Google's privacy policy.
Amazon links and other websites
Some equipment links lead to Amazon. We may earn from qualifying purchases. External websites have their own privacy practices. BUI's affiliate links are not used to sell your newsletter address.
